Middle School Minister
Christie Beddow has been the middle-school Minister at Donelson since 2014. Before moving to Nashville, she was sent and supported by Donelson as a missionary to Olomouc, Czech Republic where she served from 2006 until 2013. Christie earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Disorders. Christie’s goal is to minister to the middle schoolers in such a way that they will live in confidence that they are completely loved by God and that they can serve the church no matter their youth. Christie is married to Peter Beddow and they attend Donelson together.
Young Adults, Small Groups, Preaching - Intern
Drue Clark is a recent graduate of Lipscomb University, with a double major in Preaching and Youth Ministry. He grew up in Nashua, New Hampshire, where his family has long served the Kingdom of God for many years (both he and his brother are fourth generation preacher’s kids). Drue is currently working on his Master of Divinity degree, also at Lipscomb, and is excited to be working with the Donelson Church of Christ. He has a passion for working with church small groups, as well as college students and young adults. If you would love to enjoy a donut, talk baseball, or grab a cup of coffee with Drue, he would love to have you email him!
Youth Minister, Worship Leader
Danny Gregg has served as the youth minister since 1989 and also serves as our worship leader. A native Oklahoman, Danny has a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Oklahoma. His responsibilities include ministering to the youth at Donelson; keeping families informed and equipped in the spiritual formation of our children; teaching classes; equipping small group coaches in weekly meetings with teens; and planning youth events, camps, retreats, mission trips, and service projects. Danny’s goals are to see our youth become devoted followers of our Lord Jesus Christ in loving God, loving each other, loving their families, and loving the world as Jesus gave Himself for the world. Danny and his wife, Lisa, have four children: Cassidy, Cody, Carson, and Colt.
Janice Henegar has been a member of the Donelson staff since 1980. She is currently serving several different areas at Donelson with her primary focus on youth. Janice has called Donelson home since 1958. She and her husband, Greg, both grew up here at Donelson. They have three children, Jennifer (Craig) Sherrill, Eric, and Bethany Henegar and three grandchildren, Blake, Maddox, and Ella Rose Sherrill, all members of the Donelson family.
Minister of Community Outreach & Church Life
Russ has been the Minister of Community Outreach and Church Life since February 2011. He and his wife, Donna, grew up at Donelson. After serving as a youth minister in Kentucky and Florida, Russ preached for 16 1/2 years for the Rural Hill congregation in Nashville and also taught Bible at Ezell-Harding Christian School and Youth Ministry at Lipscomb University. He has a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Lipscomb University and has also done graduate work at Western Kentucky University. He and Donna have three daughters: Becca (Nathan), Rachel, and Lauren, and two grandchildren, Fenley and Wake. They also have a foster daughter and granddaughter in Guatemala.
Terri Nutter has been the Children’s Minister at Donelson since 2015, following a brief stint as Interim Children’s Minister. Terri began attending here as a teenager and has a long history with Donelson Church of Christ. She has served as head of the Drama Ministry, member of the adult praise team, HEART teacher, and foster parent for the Child Care home. Terri has a passion for sharing the love of Jesus and knowledge of our God who is faithful with children. She was married to the late, Larry Nutter, and is the mother of three: Austin (Amanda), Kayla and Mackenzie. She is “Gigi” to two granddaughters, Harper and Ellie, and a grandson, Gary.
Libby Parnell has been a member of the Donelson congregation since 1970. In 1971 she married Jim Parnell and after a short time in Bowling Green, Ky, they both began worshipping at DCC in 1972. In 1976 she began working in the DCC Preschool and remained there for 19 years. In 1999 she began working as a DCC staff assistant which is her current position. She and Jim have 2 sons Ross (Stacey) & Graham (Ashley), one grandson Jackson and two granddaughters, Marley and Kinley.
Children's Ministry - Intern
"David Pollard graduated from Lipscomb University in December 2014 with his bachelor's degree in children's ministry and is now enrolled in the M. Div. program. He is married to the incomparably lovely Marissa Pollard, and they are the proud parents of one cat, Archimedes. David has a passion for children's relationship with God and inner-city ministry. He hails from Greentown, Indiana, and enjoys backpacking, reading, writing and coffee. Want to talk? Send him an email!"
Jennifer Sherrill began working as a Donelson staff assistant in June 2014 and is currently job sharing with Libby Parnell. She has also worked as a teacher with the DCC preschool in the past. Jennifer grew up at Donelson and now attends with her husband, Craig, who has been a member since 2002 when they were married. Jennifer and Craig have three children: Blake, Maddox & Ella Rose.
